A total of 16 balls are used, which are 7 spots, 7 stripes, one black ball and one white cue ball.
All balls are size 4.
A player can only directly strike the white cue ball.
One player, or team is assigned to pocket all the stripes, while the other plays the spots.
A player is allowed to pocket the black ball only after all their seven spots/stripes have been pocketed.
Rules like, pocketing the black ball out of turn, pocketing the cue ball, or balls flying out of the table, are similar to that of pool and a free shot is awarded to the other player.
The white cue ball is placed in the āDā on the line.
The black ball is placed on the black spot in the middle of the triangle with the other balls around it.
